Charles Moser is Executive Director and Head of Andean and Southern Cone Capital Markets coverage at Morgan Stanley.  He is responsible for originating debt, derivatives and securitization in the Andean Region, the Southern cone, and for high frequency issuers in Brazil. Charles has been at Morgan Stanley for 5 years, and has originated an estimated $20bn of debt capital market instruments out of the region, including Colombia's $1.0 bn issue in January, a number of Euro COP issues for the Republic of Colombia, and the recent $323MM issue from Panama.

Charles was involved in the structuring of the original Brady Plan, which serves as a basis for the current Latin debt capital markets.  Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Charles spent 10 years at JP Morgan Chase. Charles started his career at Citibank, where he worked in restructuring debt in Mexico and subsequently in New York.  He was involved in  restructuring  the largest companies in Mexico in the late 1980's, has covered U.S. based oil companies as a banker, and has originated equity and debt capital markets transactions in the Latin-American region for over 10 years.

Mr. Moser was born and grew up in Bogotá, Colombia.  He earned an MA in International Economics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, after having graduated with a BA in Economics and International Affairs from Tufts University.
